POKOTABI / Sono
その
Tucked away in the drinking alley outside Kitasenju Station's west exit, Sono is a counter izakaya with just 6 seats run by its proprietress. With no fixed menu, guests can unwind over daily home-cooked fare and cold beer.
01 / ABOUT THE PLACE
Down the drinking alley branching from the west exit of Kitasenju Station, Sono is an intimate izakaya with counter seating for around 6. Run entirely by a welcoming proprietress, the small dining space carries the calm, comfortable atmosphere of a long-standing neighborhood establishment.
There is no printed menu here; the custom is simply to enjoy whichever home-style dishes the proprietress has prepared for the day. Lingering over freshly prepared small plates with a draft beer or other drink offers the relaxing comfort of visiting family.
The space suits a quiet solo drink at the end of the day just as naturally as a peaceful conversation over drinks with a companion. Hours run from Monday to Saturday, 17:00 to 23:00, with Sundays closed. Payment is cash only, and advance seat reservations are accepted.
